Richard W. Blose, 81, of Wescosville, died May 10, 2021, surrounded by his family in his home.
He was the husband of the late Ruth (Waltz) Blose.
Born Dec. 25, 1939 in Schnecksville, he was the son of the late Wayne A. and Ellen V.M. (Clauss) Blose.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War Era.
He was employed in the distribution center of Hershey Ice Cream plant, Orefield, for 37 years before retiring 2002.
He was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.
His survivors include a daughter, Lisa A. Blose, with whom he resided; son Adam R. Blose and his wife, Lori, of Coplay; brother Allen J. Blose of Breinigsville; sisters Marie E. Wentz of Saylorsburg, and Barbara A. Hoyle and her husband, Richard, of Bethlehem; and granddaughters Tiffany R. and Corrina C. Blose.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. May 13 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dr. Patience D. Stevenson officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
