Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, is offering summer worship kits to people in the community who join virtual services each week.

The kits include a devotional material and sealed communion cups with wafer attached.

Packets will be ready for pickup starting May 23, and during staff time the following week.

Ten young people will be confirmed May 23 at the outdoor worship services.

Irene Folk, who oversees the Little Pantry at Union Lutheran, reports the food service was used heavily during winter.

She thanks everyone who dropped off donations which were greatly appreciated.

Although winter is past, the need for food is ongoing.

“It is our goal to provide items which can be made into hot meals. We are asking for nonperishable food items,” Folk said.

Call 610-767-6884 to arrange a pickup time for worship packets and drop-off times for food contributions.

Union Lutheran invites children ages 3 through fifth grade to participate in Vacation Bible School Sundays June 20, 27 and July 11, 18 and 25.

In person VBS will be outside for children and parents 9:45-10:30 a.m.

The program, which follows the 9 a.m. worship service, includes skits, crafts and games outdoors, and videos to watch at home.

Another option is “At-Home VBS” where videos are emailed directly to children’s homes.

The theme for this year is “Treasured: Discovering You’re Priceless to God.”

Call 610-767-6884 to register by May 15.

VBS is provided free. Each family will be given VBS music which coordinates with the theme. Parents are encouraged to join the fun with their children.
