The Justin Sheftel Memorial Fund is planning to hold the Justin Sheftel Softball Tournament on June 19.
The golf outing and ladies night events are also being planned.
In the past 16 years, $530,000 has been donated.
Nonprofits the memorial fund has consistently supported include:
•Community Bike Works teaches life lessons through bicycles to the youth in Allentown and the Lehigh Valley.
•Allentown DRIVE Program provides a baseball program for middle school students.
•Five Star Heart Project provides programs that focus on building youth leaders of character on and off the football field.
•Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley provides a baseball program for youth with special needs.
•Jewish Community Center provides scholarships for their camp program and for early childhood education.
A key area of support is the scholarship program that includes three high schools: William Allen, Dieruff and Parkland.
This year was a bit different as there were no award assemblies.
Virtual sessions, including the Sheftel board and nominating committee members, were held with each winner.
