Bethlehem Catholic High School’s “The Spitfire Grill” can be viewed online, 7 p.m. May 21 in a performance filmed in the auditorium, Bethlehem Catholic High School, 2133 Madison Avenue, Bethlehem.
The production will be available pay-per-view during the week after May 21.
With music and book by James Valcq, lyrics and book by Fred Alley, the musical revolves around ex-convict Percy Talbott seeking a fresh start in the small town of Gilead. It takes place in The Spitfire Grill, the diner where Talbott works.
The Becahi production is directed by Diana Tice and Sean Hartman, assisted by music director Joseph Fink and stage manager Shadwick Yoder.
Based on the 1996 film of the same name by Lee David Zlotoff, the production ran off-Broadway in 2001.
Musical numbers include “A Ring Around the Moon,” “Something’s Cooking,” “When Hope Goes,” “Come Alive Again” and “Shine.”
