The East Penn School District is holding a T-shirt drive to benefit Zip with Us.

Zip With Us, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charity making and donating custom port-access ZipShirts to pediatric hospitals and cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy nationwide.

The port is a device placed under the skin. It lessens the need to start an IV for every treatment. After the implanted port is in place, IV medicines and treatments can be given directly into the blood stream through the port.

Fun, new shirts with tags are needed in size 2T through adult XL.

Zip With us will then add a custom zipper to the donated shirt to give as a gift to a young cancer patient.

Shirts can be dropped off at any district or school office collection box.

Community members can use the collection box outside of the East Penn district office.

Donations are being accepted through May 21.
