Salome R. Schleicher, 88, of Allentown, died May 8, 2021, at home. She was the wife of the late Freddie M. Schleicher.

Born in Ironton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond W. and Alma G. (Henry) Burkhardt.

She was a seamstress at several textile mills in the area.

She was a member of Bethany Bible Fellowship Church, Whitehall.

She is survived by a brother, James L. Burkhardt and his wife Jeanne of Allentown; a sister, MaryLou Cressman and her husband Curtis of Florida; a sister-in-law, Patricia Burkhardt; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Marlyn R. “Chup” Burkhardt.

Services will be private.
