Richard W. Blose, 81, of Wescosville, died May 10, 2021, in his home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Ruth (Waltz) Blose. Born in Schnecksville, he was the son of the late Wayne A. and Ellen V.M. (Clauss) Blose.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era.

He was employed in the distribution center of the Hershey Ice Cream plant in Orefield for 37 years, retiring in 2002.

He is survived by a daughter, Lisa A., with whom he resided; a son, Adam R. and his wife, Lori, of Coplay; a brother, Allen J., of Breinigsville; sisters, Marie E. Wentz, of Saylorsburg, Barbara A. and her husband, Richard Hoyle, of Bethlehem; granddaughters, Tiffany R. and Corrina C.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. May 13 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville. Family and friends may pay their respects 10 to 11 a.m. May 13 in the funeral home.
