Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4714 is planning to hold a poppy drive 8 a.m.-4 p.m. May 14 and 15 at Redner’s Quick Shoppe, 21st Street, as well as the main store on Held Drive.

Post members will be replacing flags 10 a.m. May 25 at Allen Union Cemetery, Fourth and Main streets. The rain date is May 26.

The Post will participate in the Joint Veterans Organization’s Memorial Day program. It is planned for 11 a.m. May 31 at the veterans plaza, 14th Street and Washington Avenue.

Northampton Area Food Bank, 1601 Canal St., will be holding food distributions 5-7 p.m. May 13, 20 and 27 as well as 9:30 a.m.-noon May 15.

Bring a photo ID with a current address or your ID and a bill with the correct address. You should reside in Northampton Area School District or check with the food bank by phone Wednesday mornings. You will need names and birth dates of everyone living with you full time.

The food bank is open 9:30 a.m.-noon every Wednesday for registration, questions and donation drop-offs.
