Kathleen L. Williams, 92, of Catasauqua, died suddenly May 8, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. She was the wife of the late George F. Williams Jr.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Ralph B. and Katie A. (Smith-Tidabock) Kuntz.

She was a 1947 graduate of Northampton High School, a 1950 graduate of Kutztown State Teachers College and finished her graduate work at Lehigh University.

She was a children’s day care and preschool teacher at the former St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Catasauqua. Previously, she taught elementary education for the Northern Lehigh School District and was instrumental in starting Slatington’s first kindergarten.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Catasauqua, and was a former member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Catasauqua.

She was a life member of the Girl Scouts at St. Paul’s Church. She volunteered as a camp counselor at Mountain House, South Mountain, for many years. She was a member of the Catasauqua Women’s Club and the AAUW.

She is survived by two daughters, Carole D. Henning and Colleen B. Williams, both of Catasauqua; two grandchildren, Bailey and Crosley; and a brother, Donald Kuntz of Lehigh Township.

She was predeceased by a brother, Warren Kuntz.

Services are private.
