Joan M. (Schaffer) Derr, 81, of Macungie, died May 3, 2021, in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall Township. She was the wife of the late Donald W. Derr Sr., who died May 31, 2020. They were married for 64 years. She was a daughter of the late Elmer and Luella (Erney) Schaffer. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah J. and her husband, Nelson L. Angstadt, of Kutztown; a son, Donald W. Jr., of Allentown; grandchildren, Shawn M. and his wife, Erika M. (Hoch) Angstadt and Kristy L. Angstadt; a great-grandson, Leon W. Angstadt. She was predeceased by a daughter, Kim; a sister, Janet (Schaffer) Fields and a brother, Rewellyn Schaffer.
