Coplay: Common Bond set to take the Saengerbund stage May 14
Coplay Saengerbund, 205 S. Fifth St., has a full slate of musical entertainment for Friday nights. The next outdoor concert is Common Bond May 14.
Doors open 5 p.m., and the kitchen opens 5:30 p.m. Members may sign in two guests. There is a cover charge.
Upcoming concerts are Social Call, May 21; and Stereotype, May 28.
Bands are subject to change without notice. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines will be followed.

Commitment to Family and Community is planning an all-you-can-eat breakfast 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. May 16 at the hall at 165 Cherry St.
No reservations are needed.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., is presenting the Kerygma Program 6:30 p.m. May 16 and 30.
There is a meal and discussion with the first topic - the Ten Commandments.
Kerygma is Greek for “message” or “teaching.”

The annual street sweeping throughout the borough is scheduled for May 20 and 21.

According to Steve Burker, a Coplay Community Days leader, the event is still expected to be held due to people getting the COVID-19 vaccine and some restrictions are beginning to lessen. Reportedly, a final decision on the festival will be made by early June.

St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St., is seeking volunteers to help make pierogies.
Production is expected to resume June 15.

The Coplay summer entertainment series will begin 6:15-9:15 p.m. June 23 at Community Plaza, North Second and Chestnut streets. The series will run every other Wednesday through September.
There is no admission fee.

Girl Scouts, Daisies and Brownies groups meet 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the church hall at St. Peter’s.
