Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) will hold its 54th annual Commencement Ceremony virtually at 6 p.m. May 12.
More than 950 students from December 2020, May 2021 and August 2021 are to receive associate degrees or certificates.
Graduates had the opportunity to participate in the ceremony by submitting photos that will be included in the pre-recorded presentation.
LCCC Board of Trustees Chair Ann L. Thompson will offer the welcome to the ceremony.
LCCC president Dr. Ann D. Bieber will preside over the ceremony and offer remarks.
Featured student speakers will be class of 2021 graduates Jamie L. Knerr, of Slatedale, receiving an associate in arts degree in Business Administration and Communication, and Rose K. Reyes, of Bethlehem, receiving an associate in applied science degree in Human Resource Management.
Michelle L. Mitchell, associate professor for Disability Support Services-Learning Specialist, will announce the Student of the Year, which will be presented to an outstanding graduate of the year, selected by the LCCC Faculty Association. In addition, she will recognize the All-Pennsylvania Academic Team members Jamie L. Knerr and Ian Miller, of Allentown, who is graduating with a degree in Psychology.
Larissa M. Verta, vice president for academic services and student development, will present the candidates for graduation and will be assisted by the college’s deans.
Peggy M. Heim, dean of student support and success, will close with remarks.
