Ethel M. Haas, 83, of Allentown, died on April 30, 2021.

She was the wife of the late Vernon C. Haas Sr.

Born Nov. 15, 1937, in North Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Ellen (Warke) Muthard.

She was a custodian at Schnecksville Elementary School in the Parkland School District for many years before retiring.

Before that, she was a seamstress at the former Ironhead Mill, Ironton.

Her survivors include children Barbara J. Ohm of Coplay, Vernon C. Haas Jr. (Mary) of Allentown, Brian S. Haas (Rochelle) of Ironton, Gary L. Haas (Cathy) of Alburtis; sisters Sandy Stroh of Bath, Catherine Moyer of Schnecksville, Judy Kern (John) of Allentown, Linda Kropf (Ray) of Bethlehem; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. May 7 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc. 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dody S. Siegfried officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Jordan Lutheran Church Cemetery, Orefield.
