Coplay: Smith Compound Band to play May 7
Coplay Saengerbund, 205 S. Fifth St., has a full slate of musical entertainment for Friday nights from April 30 to Sept. 24. The next outdoor concert is Smith Compound Band May 7.
Doors open 5 p.m., and the kitchen opens 5:30 p.m. Members may sign in two guests. There is a cover charge.
Upcoming concerts are Common Bond, May 14; Social Call, May 21; and Stereotype, May 28.
Bands are subject to change without notice. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines will be followed.

The fellowship committee at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., is planning a pickup lasagna dinner 4-5:30 p.m. May 8.

St. John’s Lutheran Church is presenting the Kerygma Program 6:30 p.m. May 16 and 30.
There is a meal and discussion with the first topic - the Ten Commandments.
Kerygma is Greek for “message” or “teaching.”

At this point, the Coplay Community Days event is still expected to be held. Reportedly, a final decision on the festival will be made by early June and will be based on the social-distancing recommendations of the CDC.

St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St., is seeking volunteers to help make pierogies.
Production is expected to continue June 15.

The Coplay summer entertainment series will begin 6:15-9:15 p.m. June 23 at Community Plaza, North Second and Chestnut streets. The series will run every other Wednesday through September.
There is no admission fee.
