Lorraine G. LeVan Kogelman, 85, of Allentown, formerly of Wescosville, died peacefully April 24, 2021, surrounded by her loving family in her home.
The wife of the late Ralph J. LeVan, who died in 1961, they shared two children.
She married Ronald F. Kogelman and they shared 25 years of marriage before divorcing. Together, they shared two children.
Born Aug. 10, 1935, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Harrison E. Heck Sr. and Thelma G. (Keck) Heck-Siegfried.
She was a 1953 graduate of Emmaus High School.
An optometric assistant for Dr. Arthur R. Kaplan O.D., Macungie, for 25 years, she retired in 2000.
Before that, she was a teacher’s aide at Wescosville Elementary School and a secretary at the former Merritt Lumber Co., Allentown, for several years.
She was a member of the Trexlertown/Lower Macungie Senior Citizens.
Her survivors include children Rick H. LeVan and his wife, Terry, of Redlands, Calif., Scott J. LeVan and his partner, Debi, of Allentown, LoriAnn Wieand Amaya of Allentown, and Kip R. Kogelman and his wife, Alicia, of Catasauqua; sister Crystal T. McCabe and her husband, Larry, of Florida; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
There will be a private celebration of her life. There will be no public calling hours.
