To the Editor:

Regarding the full page ad from Rebuild USA in the April 7 East Penn Press, I had to laugh loudly at their list of accomplishments they state about Joe Biden and the Democratic rescue plan. Biden wants to raise corporate taxes; and if you think the businesses won’t leave the country, then you don’t know your history.

If you think the infrastructure bill is about infrastructure, then you haven’t read the bill.

Only about 6 percent is actually for infrastructure. The other 94 percent is for liberal pet projects.

What has the weather, child care, health care, etc. got to do with infrastructure? That’s $1.68 trillion that has absolutely nothing to do with infrastructure!

Our grandchildren and their children will be burdened with the increased taxes to pay for this for a very long time.

By the way, Trump was the very first politician to address the crumbling infrastructure and that was during the 2015 Republican debates. He certainly didn’t have $2.3 trillion in mind, plus the Democratic controlled congress would not have approved it if Trump recommended it.

So I would not gloat, “Rebuild USA” if I were you. Your “new day” will be a “Broke Day.”
