Leo B. Wambold Sr., 78, of Walnutport, died April 19, 2021, at his residence. He was the husband of Janet V. (Dute) Wambold for 60 years.

Born in Danielsville, he was a son of the late Jesse B. and Ethel L. (Reiheimer) Wambold.

He was a PFC in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

He owned and operated Wambold Trucking, Walnutport, transporting steel before retiring in 2000.

He attended Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville.

He was a member of and sang with the Pickin’ and Grinnin’ Gospel Group, the Blue Mountain Gospel Singers, True Life Ministries Group and the Yoke Fellowship Prison Ministry Group.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Leo B. Jr. of Mint Hill, N.C., and Michael R. and his wife Karanne of Danielsville; a daughter, Vicky V. Haines of Walnutport: a brother, Nelson Wambold and his wife Mildred of Madrid, Spain; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services are private.
