Flemming Schomburg, 70, of Catasauqua, died April 18, 2021, at his home. He was the husband of Franciel M. Schomburg for six years.

Born in Norresundby, Denmark, he was a son of Elva and Henning Schomburg.

He was a senior process engineer with F.L. Smidt/Fuller Company for more than 25 years. He traveled to cement plants around the world, working on the cement process and updating new designs. He invented several designs that were patented by his employer.

He played professional soccer in Denmark. He was a youth soccer coach in Catasauqua. He was an advocate speaker at cancer support groups.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a granddaughter, Amanda Grace Votral.
