Coplay Saengerbund, 205 S. Fifth St., has a full slate of musical entertainment for Friday nights from April 30 to Sept. 24. These outdoor concerts start with She Said Sunday April 30.

Doors open 5 p.m., and the kitchen opens 5:30 p.m. Members may sign in two guests. There is a cover charge.

Upcoming concerts are Smith Compound Band, May 7; Common Bond, May 14; Social Call, May 21; and Stereotype, May 28.

Bands are subject to change without notice. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines will be followed.

Coplay Sports is planning its annual in-person baseball and softball opening day 9:30 a.m. May 1 at the sports complex at Sixth, Wall and Maple streets.

The park and recreation committee agreed to recommend opening Parkway Pool June 18.

The recommendation will be shared at the borough council workshop meeting May 4. The committee will ask council to approve the hiring of lifeguards, a pool manager, gate and ticket positions and a vendor to staff the concession stand.

The Coplay summer entertainment series will begin 6:15-9:15 p.m. June 23 at Community Plaza, North Second and Chestnut streets. The series will run every other Wednesday through September.

There is no admission fee.

At this point, the Coplay Community Days event is still expected to be held. Reportedly, a final decision on the festival will be made by early June and will be based on the social-distancing recommendations of the CDC.
