Connie Lynn Yothers, 74, a lifelong resident of Emmaus, died unexpectedly April 19, 2021. Born at Allentown Hospital, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Schafer Sr. and the late Arlene Martha Seislove Schafer.

She was a 1964 graduate of Emmaus High School and earned her associate degree from Allentown Business School.

She was happily retired, prior to which she was employed by the City of Allentown and ComCom.

She was a lifelong member and active parishioner at Old Zionsville UCC where she served on the Consistory, taught Sunday school and enjoyed singing in the choir.

She is survived by daughters, Janene Groff (Lane), of Coatesville, Jessica, of Downingtown; a granddaughter, Kaylee Barnhart (Michael), of West Chester; a grandson Ryan Groff, of Coatesville; sisters, Diane Bustin (Paul), of Hammond, La. and Lesa Simmons (Mark), of Emmaus; brothers, Rodney Schafer (Charlotte), of Ponchatula, La., and William Schafer Jr. (Arlene), of Munch Valley; an aunt, Arlene Scheirer, of Zionsville; many cousins; nieces; nephews; grand-nieces; grand-nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Yvonne.
