Liberty track off to 2-0 start this season

Liberty’s track and field teams scored their second victories of the season after defeating Bethlehem Catholic when the Hurricanes were victorious over the K-Kids, 96-53 (girls), and 85-65 (boys) last Wednesday at Northampton.

First place finishers for the Hurricane girls were Jessica Farrell in the 200 meter dash in 27.3, Ella Scott in the 400 meter dash in 1:03.2, Emily Jobes in the 1600 meter run in 5:17.11, and Maddi Drager in the 3200 meter run in 12:42.8.

Liberty’s girls won all relay events, the 4x1, 4x4, and 4x8 (names unavailable).

In jumps, Kaitlyn Arnone won the high jump (4-05.00) and the pole vault (6-06.00). Catey Kelly won the long jump (16-01.00), and the triple jump (33-06.00).

In throwing events, Brynae Johnson was first in the shot put with a 26-10.75, Taylor Rice took first in the discus with a 85-11, and Brylee Tereska won the javelin with a 122-10.

First place finishers for the Liberty boys were Josh Farrell in the 200 meter dash in 23.9, Graham Phillips in the 800 meter run in 2:03.2, and Cole Frank in the 1600 meter run in 4:36.5.

Liberty’s boys won the 4x1 relay and the 4x8 relay (names unavailable).

In jumps, Elijah Rogers won the high jump (6-01.00), and Sander Sahaydak won both the long jump (20-02.00) and the triple jump (41-05.00).

In throwing events, Messiah Johnson was first in the discus with a 123-04, and Jack Donchez won the javelin with a 155-06.
