Metro “Butch” Oleksa, 87, formerly of Macungie, died April 18, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospice. He was the husband of the late Thelma M. (Landis) Oleksa. Born in Macungie, he was the son of the late Wasyl and Mary (Choban) Oleksa.

He worked for Texaco for over 40 years, retiring in 1995 as a plant manager.

He is survived by daughters, Donna J. and her husband, Glenn Greis, of Macungie, Diane M. Derr, of Northampton and Sherry L. and her husband, Keith Paich, of Lancaster; a brother, Charles and his wife, June, of Allentown; grandchildren, Jamie L. Greis, Derrick Greis and his wife, Michelle, Nathan and Madison Derr and Morgan and Matthew Paich; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Courtney and Preston; stepgreat-grandchildren, Alanna and Aeva. He was predeceased by a brother, John.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. April 24 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
