Emmaus High School graduation details announced

There will be no graduation practice this year for the graduating students of the Class of 2021.
Senior Academic Awards will be prerecorded and made available to watch 6:30 p.m. May 26. Seniors will receive an invitation via email to view the ceremony if they are an award winner.
There will be two Emmaus High School graduation sessions June 13 for seniors of the Class of 2021.
The first session is scheduled 11 a.m. and the second session is scheduled 2 p.m. Seniors will be assigned one of these sessions and a time of arrival for a COVID-19 screening and security check. Students will not be allowed to change their assigned session and are only allowed to bring car keys and a cellphone. All graduates are required to wear their caps and gowns and caps may not be decorated.
Military or National Honor Society stoles or honor grad medals are the only exceptions to being worn with a graduate’s gown. Appropriate attire is expected for the ceremony. Students should not wear jeans, sneakers, flip-flops or any other casual clothing.
Information regarding fourth marking period late arrival and early dismissal privileges is available to read on the EHS website.
The Global Citizens Club’s T-shirt days will be May 12 and 26.
Tryouts for future cheerleaders will be held in May. Students interested in trying out should complete the sign up form on the EHS website by April 23 at the latest.
Ninth grade students interested in student government and joining SGA should complete an application by April 26. To obtain the application, students should join the Schoology group which can be found on the EHS website.
Juniors who would like to take a free course at DeSales University or Lehigh University next year can complete the application for High School Scholars. This competitive program allows a small amount of students the chance to take a free college course in the fall. The deadline for the application is April 26.
The Habitat for Humanity Club will be collecting prepackaged snacks and beverages for the ReStore and home builds volunteers. Donated items should be brought to Room 513 or left at the main office by April 27.
The next Habitat for Humanity meeting will be held 2:30 p.m. April 27 on Zoom.
The EHS Hornet Ambassadors group is accepting applications for new ambassadors for the 2021-2022 school year. Those interested in the position should complete the application by April 30. The form can be found on the EHS school webpage.
The EHS counseling office is offering virtual college representatives visits from various schools around the state during the month of May. Students who would like to attend these visits should log on to Naviance and register. The college visits are posted toward the bottom right of the home page after logging in and the schedule will be updated frequently as the counseling office adds more schools. These meetings are open to ninth through 12th grade students.
The Peace Club meets 1:30 p.m. every other Wednesday via Zoom. Students interested in joining/attending should email Mrs. Moxley for the Schoology group code and additional information.
