According to Lehigh Carbon Community College, students who have been impacted by COVID-19 will have access to grants through the federal Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act.
Students who have faced unexpected educational expenses or financial hardship related to the pandemic can apply for these grants.
Examples of covered expenses include tuition, computer and software purchases, internet access fees, books and supplies.
In addition, grants can also assist with expenses such as food, housing and utility costs, transportation costs, child care and health care.
To apply, complete the online application found on the myLCCC portal.
Click on Apply for Scholarships under My Finances in the Launchpad on the left side of the screen or go to www.LCCC.edu/scholarships.
Students can apply only once for a grant.
Funding is limited and is not guaranteed.
Students must be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen to qualify and be enrolled in the semester indicated on the application.
LCCC is prioritizing students with exceptional financial need as exhibited on the FAFSA.

Grants will not count toward the estimated financial assistance and financial need as determined by the FAFSA will not be a factor in award amounts.
