Denise C. Garrity, 62, of Lower Macungie Township, died April 4, 2021, in her home surrounded by loving family. She was the wife of Tom Garrity for 31 years. Born in Glendora, N.J., she was a daughter of Wanda (Kozikowski) Zammer and the late William Zammer Sr.
She was a 1976 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School and earned an associate degree from Penn State.
She spent 17 years as a successful Realtor employed at Patt White, Prudential, and most recently RE/MAX, all while raising four children. Previously, she was employed as an assistant manager at Health Spectrum Medical Products.
A devout member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, she served as a Eucharistic minister and was involved in outreach programs for new families.
She attended countless concerts, especially Dave Matthews Band and John Mellencamp. She felt a special connection to the beach, especially a quiet one. She spent months planning the annual trip to the Outer Banks. Her family will continue those annual trips but is prepared for the lodging and food quality to take a steep dive in her absence.
She is survived by her husband; mother; sons, Christopher Spence, of Mashpee, Mass., Joe and his wife, Trisha, of York, John, of Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Catherine and her fiancé, Eric Frans, of Towson, Md.; grandchildren, Avery and Ethan Spence; brothers, William Jr. and his wife, Linda, Lou, Tom; a sister, Wandie Little; numerous members of extended family. She was predeceased by a brother, Bobby and her father.
