David Charles Scheffy, 80, of Emmaus, died April 15, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the loving husband of Sandra Elaine (Laubach) Scheffy for 58 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Mark H. and Mabel C. (Hillegass) Scheffy.

He worked for Mack Trucks as a design draftsman for 24 years, retiring in 2001.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1964.

He was past president of the Coplay Saegerbund.

He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown.

He loved life and enjoyed cruising and traveling with his wife.

He is survived by his wife; cousins; nieces; nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Lorraine C., Robert L., Warren J. and Raymond K.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 968 Postal Road #10, Allentown, 18109.

Burial with military honors will be held 11 a.m. April 21 at Grandview Cemetery, 2725 Walbert Ave., Allentown.
