“Earthland” introduces terrestrial audiences to a long abandoned planet repurposed as an alien museum with a recording produced at Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts, 321 E. Third St., Bethlehem.
Screening times for the original musical are 2 and 7 p.m. April 25, Musikfest Cafe, ArtsQuest Center, SteelStacks, Bethlehem; 7 p.m. April 27, 28, 29, Becky’s Drive-In, Lehigh Township, and on-demand April 30-May 1.
Tour guides Floopa and Caaade from Alpha Centauri explore the earthling phenomena of “song” while visiting “‘stations.”
The musical’s book and lyrics are by J. Gulotta, a 2007 Charter Arts graduate. Music is composed by Charter Arts Music Director Erica Dickson.
Producer Rae Labadie and Director Ashley Weller are assisted by Choreographer Jennifer Dite-Weaver, Set Designers Peter Wrenn-Meleck and Kyra Zimmerman, and Videographer and Editor Carlo Acerra.
The show’s songs do not have titles.
