Floyd G. Reichel Jr., 78, of Breinigsville, died April 11, 2021, at home.

He and his wife, Janet Mae (Masonheimer) Reichel, shared more than 56 years of marriage.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Floyd G. Sr. and Anna (Davis) Reichel.

Before retiring, he worked more than 30 years at Remita Rug, Allentown, since 1970.

He was a Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing softball, watching the Eagles and Patriots, and had a green thumb for gardening.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Floyd G. III of Breinigsville, Jeffrey B. and his wife, Krista, of Wescosville; daughter Kerrie L., wife of Andrew Nace, of Lehighton; sister Helen Brown of Georgia; and grandchildren Addison, Jackson, Mackenzie and Anna.

He was predeceased by a brothers Ralph, Lewis and sister Anna Mae Leibenguth.

There will be a calling period 6-7:30 p.m. April 20 at Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville.
