Evelyn Durfey, 93, of Fountain Hill, died April 3, 2021, while in the care of St. Luke’s Hospice House. Born in Bally, she was a daughter of the late Erwin and Emma (Weiss) Moyer. She was the wife of the late Clifford L. Durfey.
She was a garment worker earlier in life. She worked later in housekeeping for Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Fountain Hill, until she retired.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fountain Hill.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol Edwards and her husband Wayne of Bethlehem; a son, Robert Durfey and his wife Belinda of Whitehall; five grandsons, David Edwards, Scott Edwards and his wife Aurora, Michael Edwards, Kyle Durfey and his fiancée Brooke and Tyler Durfey; and a great-granddaughter, Mackenzie.
She was predeceased by five brothers, Homer, Clarence, Erwin, LeRoy and Raymond; and four sisters, Helen Barnett, Lillian Gottschalk, Mary Bader and Verna Slozat.
