Catasauqua is planning its first StrEAT Fest 11 a.m.-3 p.m. April 10 on Front Street between Union and Bridge streets.
The much-anticipated day is generating a buzz in the community as business owners, elected officials and other interested groups promote the event.
The day is being proclaimed Catasauqua’s Small Business Saturday.
There will be live music from Third Hand Acoustic and Common Bond in addition to a number of food trucks, local restaurant specials, dozens of vendors and crafters, face painting and more.
Patrons will be able to see the recent developments of the Iron Works project currently underway between Front Street and the Lehigh River. The project is a multimillion-dollar project and is considered by some as a renaissance of Catasauqua’s Front Street business district and the community.
Elected officials and candidates seeking elected office in the upcoming May 18 primary election are expected to be on hand at the event to answer questions.
Promoted by the Whitehall Area Chamber of Commerce and Catasauqua Borough, festival sponsors are numerous, including Vintage Barbershop, Columbia Care, Omega Protective Services, JP Mascaro & Sons, Dunn Twiggar Company, Remington & Vernick Engineers, SJ Thomas Commercial Contractors and Lehigh Valley Press.
Be sure to arrive with a healthy appetite for some great food, drink, entertainment and socializing as you support local business during this fun community event.
All associated with coordinating the event ask patrons to wear a mask when not eating and to try and socially distance.
