Cops ‘n Kids free annual Celebration of Reading, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 17 Fowler Family SouthSide Center, Northampton Community College, 511 E. Third St. There will be food, music, crafts, face paintings, sports and cooking demonstrations; theater, singing and dancing performances, free books, police and fire personnel. Children are able to choose free books courtesy of Cops ‘n’ Kids and must be accompanied by an adult.
The Cops ‘n’ Kids Reading Room is open to the public 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Wednesday and for special Saturday programs (register by calling 610-861-5526). If you have a children’s group interested in visiting the Reading Room or if you want to conduct a book drive, email lvcops-n-kids@att.net.
