Salisbury Township School District schools will be closed April 1-5 for spring break. School will resume April 6 for all buildings.
There is an operations committee meeting scheduled 7 p.m. April 7.
April 8 will be the next Salisbury Elementary School T-shirt day. Let’s show off that Falcon spirit!
April 8 is also the end of the third marking period for Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School. We are in the home stretch of this year.
The next school board meeting is scheduled 7:30 p.m. April 14.
Looking forward, the Pennsylvania System School Assessment testing window for this year is quickly approaching. Students in grades 3-8 will take the English Language Arts portion the week of April 19-23, the math and science portions the week of April 27 through May 7. Students in grades 4 and 8 will take the science portion.
The Frank Yelinko Memorial Golf Tournament, which supports the Frank Yelinko Scholarship at SHS is in the planning stages for this year’s event. The scholarship is awarded to one male and one female each year and it pays them $1,000 a year for up to four years.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event is being moved to Sept. 11. This will be the 21st year of the tournament so organizers want it to be amazing. Any golfers who may be interested can reach out to Don Kelly at djk525@gmail.com or 484-714-8045.
It’s that time of year where the recycling drop off centers open. Drop off sites will be open alternating weeks 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturdays. Franko Farm will be the first location open April 5, 8 and 10.
