Sheckler News: No meal pickups April 1 due to break

Due to spring break and the Easter holiday, the contactless curbside meal pickup was moved to March 30. There will be no food distribution April 1.

Normally, pickups occur 9:45-10:15 a.m. Thursdays in front of Sheckler Elementary School. Five days’ worth of meals are given. Arrive with a clean vehicle trunk.

This program is available for all Catasauqua Area School District residents, aged 18 and under.

Catasauqua Area School Dsitrict will have spring break April 1-5. Students will return to school April 6.

CASD is looking to hire a district network manager. This is a full-time and Act 93 position. Duties will include management and support of data network, server infrastructure, ancillary systems, user devices and centralized applications.

Applicants must have a degree in computer science, information systems or a related field and experience with technical knowledge, project management, process management and budget management.

Catasauqua community members are encouraged to share their COVID-19-safe Easter egg hunt photos with Leslie Estrada, Catasauqua High School teacher and Catasauqua Community Cares Program member.

Estrada and Officer Jenna Potak are the organizers of the Roughie Egg Hunt, a community event that passed out hygiene products, school supplies and food items to residents in need.

All community members attending an Easter egg hunt can submit photos to Leslie Estrada’s email, L.Estrada.Community@gmail.com.

Photos will be shared on social media with the hashtags #RoughieEggHunt and #gdtbarr.
