Northampton Area Public Library: Library virtual events starting April 5

Northampton Area Public Library will be launching new virtual events April 5.

April’s Stick Together mosaic picture, a movie trivia quiz and the April interactive children’s library content will be available.

Celebrate National Library Week with an adult book stack craft. The program also begins April 5. Registration is required to receive supplies.

The library is open for in-person browsing! Curbside pickup appointments are still available, and computers are available for one 45-minute session per person, per day.

Patrons may also utilize our Wi-Fi access point to access the Internet from the library’s grounds or parking lot. Wi-Fi hot spots are also available for checkout for at-home Internet use.

Take storytime fun to your home with our do-it-yourself storytimes. Each storytime has a book and activity sheet with ideas that follow the five early literacy practices.

“What Does It Mean to Be Green?” is the book for April 5, and “Hedgehugs” will be read April 26. Registration is required.

Teens have the opportunity to make their own bee waterer. The take-home program begins April 19.

Register to receive all the supplies needed.

The Wonderful World of Trivia for adults is set for 7 p.m. April 23. Test your knowledge of princesses, villains, music and more via Zoom. The top team wins a prize.

Register your team of up to four to participate.

Join Jill Kearney noon May 18 on Zoom for the “From Frustration to Freedom: The Joy of a Decluttered Home.”

The program will have tips on how to break through the clutter and create a fresh new home and life.

Registration is required.

Always wanted to join a book club but didn’t have the time? Our laid-back book club is for you!

From March to August, there will be one book per month. Skip a month, read ahead or read behind - it’s up to you. There are no live meetings. We will connect via email, Facebook group and Reader Zone.

Craft bags with story suggestions are available for pickup for ages preschool through second grade. There is a new craft every week through April.

This year, the library will be hosting an online spring auction, set for April 26-May 2. Support the library by placing a bid on the many great items we have in our online auction.
