Lorraine S. Pompelli, 82, of Walnutport, died Palm Sunday, March 28, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospice Inpatient Unit, Allentown.
She was the wife of the late Quindi “Frank” Pompelli.
Born April 27, 1938, in Jim Thorpe, she was the daughter of the late Edward C. Schlegel II and Erma (Helmer) Schlegel.
She will be forever remembered as a genuine and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She enjoyed her home filled with family, spending time on her porch, arranging flowers and springtime.
Her survivors include children Janet M. Weaver (James) of Lehighton, Donna M. Reed of Walnutport, Joseph H. Wisser of New Tripoli, Angela M. Pompelli-Butler (Robert) of Little Falls, N.J., and Maria L. Halkias, with whom she resided; siblings Robert A. Schegel Sr. and Eugene H. Schlegel, both of Catasauqua, and Susan E. MacConnell of Milton, Del.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.
She was predeceased by siblings Kathleen Kish and Edward C. Schlegel III.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service 11 a.m. April 6 at Resurrection Cemetery, 547 North Krocks Road, Wescosville, with the Rev. Virginia M. Heimer officiating.
Strict COVID-19 restrictions will be followed. Masks and social distancing required.
There will be no public calling hours.
