The Lehigh County Coroner’s Officer has identified the remains discovered in early March in Hanover Township.

Bryan Geel Jr., 36, of Chatham, N.Y., was pronounced dead just before 1:30 p.m. March 8 by Deputy Coroner Jackie Seidman in a wooded area in the 2100 block of Hoover Avenue, Hanover Township.

An autopsy was performed March 9. According to a March 23 release from the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, the cause and manner of death remain pending further forensic testing.

In addition to the coroner’s office, the death is being investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police, Bethlehem.
