DUI
Luis Gabriel Ortiz-Nieves, 26, of Bethlehem, was charged Feb. 14 with allegedly driving under the influence and related offenses after a traffic stop in the area of Seidersville Road and Nantucket Circle, according to Salisbury police. Ortiz-Nieves was transported to the Lehigh County Central Booking Center.
Assault
An unidentified male allegedly pulled a person out of a vehicle and threw the person to the ground in the 1700 block of Susquehanna Street, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Feb. 18 and remains under investigation. A cellphone also was damaged in the alleged assault.
Vehicle theft
Three dirt bikes, with an estimated value of $800, were removed from the 2300 block of Spring Lane, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Feb. 22 and remains under investigation.
Possession of a controlled substance
Kevin William Johnston, 43, of Whitehall, was charged Feb. 18 with alleged simple possession of a controlled substance following an incident at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. Johnston was transported to the Lehigh County Central Booking Center.
A 21-year-old female, of Allentown, was charged Feb. 22 with alleged simple possession of a controlled substance following an incident at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest.
Possession of drug paraphernalia
A 28-year-old female, of Emmaus, was charged Feb. 17 with alleged possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, according to Salisbury police.
Criminal mischief
A 41-year-old male, of Emmaus, was charged Feb. 17 with alleged criminal mischief after an incident in the 3000 block of Lehigh Street, according to Salisbury police.
A 52-year-old male, of Emmaus, was charged Feb. 17 with alleged criminal mischief and harassment after an incident in the 3000 block of Lehigh Street, according to Salisbury police.
Harassment
A 77-year-old male, of Allentown, was charged Feb. 26 with alleged harassment after an incident in the 1400 block of East Susquehanna Street, according to Salisbury police.
Ignition interlock
A 55-year-old male, of Allentown, was charged Feb. 17 with allegedly illegally operating a motor vehicle not equipped with ignition interlock and related traffic offenses following a traffic stop on South Pike Avenue, according to Salisbury police. An ignition interlock device prevents a motorist from starting a vehicle until a breath alcohol test is taken.
Identity theft
A resident of the 800 block of East Tioga Street discovered a credit card account was opened in the resident’s name in Maryland, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Feb. 16.
Fraud
A resident of the 1700 block of Acker Street learned two fraudulent withdrawals were made from an account, according to Salisbury police. The withdrawals totaled $700 and the incident was reported Feb. 26.
Theft from vehicle
Approximately $50 in cash and coins were removed from a vehicle parked in the 2300 block of Spring Street, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Feb. 22.
Theft
A patient at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest reported earrings, $5 cash and a novel were removed Feb. 23, according to Salisbury police.
