Donald E. Burkhardt, 76, of Allentown, died March 18, 2021, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

He and his wife, Linda J. (Knauss) Burkhardt, were married 46 years.

Born May 19, 1944, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Elmer C. and Grace T. (Smith) Burkhardt.

A service technician for IBM, Bethlehem, for 16 years, he retired in 2000.

Before that, he worked for the former Smith Corona, Bethlehem, for 10 years.

He was a volunteer firefighter and fire police at Tri-Clover Fire Company, Orefield, and Neffs Fire Company for many years.

He was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, South Whitehall.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by daughters Trisha L. Burkhardt of Allentown, and Nicole J. Fenstermaker (Harry) of Schnecksville; and granddaughter Mya A. Reed.

He was predeceased by a sister, Sandra A. Jensen.
