Larry Lee Bloch Sr.

Larry L. Bloch Sr., 80, of Macungie, died March 18, 2021, at home. He was the husband of Jeanne Rae (Dengler) Bloch with whom he would have celebrated 63 years of marriage next week. Born in Macungie, he was a son of the late Cyrus G. and Alverda E. (Bennicoff) Bloch.

He worked in the welding department of Mack Trucks, retiring in 1988.

He was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He served on the USS Taconic in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1961.

He had a great love for hunting, fishing and gardening. Mostly, he will be remembered for his great love for his family, especially his wife.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Larry Jr. and his wife, Renee; daughters, Wendy and her husband, Steve Trapp; Sherrie and her husband, Steve Miller; Terrie and her husband, Michael Burkhart; Gina Cramsey and her companion, Joshua Kulp; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Alexandria; brothers, Harold and Earl; a sister, Dorothy E. M. Zettlemoyer.

Services will be held noon March 24 at the Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville, 18031. Calling will begin 11 a.m.
