Irene Datta, 95, formerly of Walnutport, died March 18, 2021, at Phoebe Nursing Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Joseph Datta.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Julia Kochan Barna and the granddaughter of the late Dominica and Harry Kochan.

She worked in the garment industry for 15 years and for Holiday Inn and Days Inn for 30 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Juliann and her husband Joseph Rothdeutsch Jr. of Walnutport and Maria and her husband Robert Nyce of Florida; three grandchildren, Jennifer Domchek, Mathew Rothdeutsch and Niki Rothdeutsch; and five great-grandchildren, Dalton, Dylan and Jessica Domchek and Emma and Abby Rothdeutsch.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and James Cenchitz.

Services are private.
