Irene M. Koons Hahn, 96, of Orefield, died March 10, 2021, in her home.

She was the wife of the late Edgar Hahn and Carl A. Koons.

Born Aug. 6, 1924, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Edna M. (Hensinger) Klotz.

She was a waitress at the Leather Corner Post Hotel, Orefield, and a sewing machine operator at the former Emmaus Mfg. before retiring.

She was a member of Morgenland Church, Orefield.

Her survivors include children Mary Ann Ashner of Bowmanstown, Robert C. Koons and his wife, Linda, of Allentown, David A. Koons of Orefield, Dorothy M. Koons of Sanatoga; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be at Morgenland Union Cemetery, Orefield, with the Rev. Sally D. Zelker officiating.

There will be no public calling hours.
