William T. Bechtold, 79, of Allen Township, died March 8, 2021, at Fellowship Community, Whitehall. He was the husband of Sharon J. (Spangler) Bechtold for 50 years.
He was a son of the late John K. and Helen Anna (Parker) Bechtold.
He was a petty officer 2nd class in the U.S. Navy during peacetime.
He was a supervisor in the mixing department for the former Tarkett Manufacturing, Fullerton, for 33 years before he retired in 2000.
He was a member of the Northampton A.A.R.P. seniors group for many years. He was a life member of the Fullerton and Allen Township volunteer fire companies and of the Fullerton American Legion Post 367.
He was a former bowler and member of the Coplay Saengerbund and a former member of the Catasauqua SA fast pitch league for years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four brothers, Charles and his wife Barbara of Walnutport, James and his companion Paul Ziegenfuss of Aquashicola, Richard and his companion Jeanette Coleman and Ronald and his wife Eileen, all of Whitehall; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers; and two sisters.
