Mary Catherine Heffelfinger, 76, of Northampton, died March 6, 2021, at home. She was the wife of Frank S. Heffelfinger.

Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late William David Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Drissell) Abert.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from Immaculata University and a master’s degree from Kutztown University.

She was a teacher for 32 years.

She was a lector at and member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton. She started the pre-K religious education program and taught CCD in the parish.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Sean, M.D. and his wife Kathy and Ryan, D.O. and his wife Courtney Fleming; four grandchildren, Evan, Nolan, Simon and Lauren; a brother, William David Jr.; and a sister, Patricia Lee Wojtkun.

She was predeceased by a brother, John Joseph; and a sister, Barbara Ann.
