Michael Gerald Davis, 62, of Tamaqua, died Feb. 27, 2021, in his home.

Born Nov. 10, 1958, in the Torresdale section of Philadelphia, he was the son of Mary R. (Cahill) Davis of New Tripoli and the late Charles H. Davis.

He was a boiler tender working in facility maintenance at Stroh Brewery, Lucent and AT&T for many years.

A member of AA, he celebrated 20 years of sobriety.

Of the Catholic faith, he was very proud of his Irish heritage.

His passion for music was evident by his natural ability to compose his own style of music. He had an extensive guitar collection.

In addition to his loving mother, he is survived by siblings Dennis C. Davis (Deborah) of St. Augustine, Fla., Patrica L. Reinert-Lehman (Gary) of New Tripoli, Charles J. Davis (Maria) of Palm Coast, Fla.; special friend, Cara; and several nieces and nephews.
