Thomas A. Nagy

Thomas A. Nagy, 74, of Northampton, died March 2, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Alice P. (Kohler) Nagy for 53 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late John T. and Theresa A. (Groff) Nagy.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Lafayette College.

He was in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and earned various medals including the Army Commendation Medal, the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

He was an engineer for most of his life. He was known for his expertise in woodworking.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Ginger and her husband James Beenders; a son, Christopher and his wife Kyndra; five grandchildren, Riley, Katlin, Anne, Hayden and Parker; and two brothers, John A. and his wife Sandra and Richard D. and his wife Barbara.

A celebration of life will be held this summer.
