Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St., is getting back to normal with its Sunday breakfasts, held the last weekend of the month. It was noted the Feb. 28 breakfast was one of the best attended of the events.
In keeping with COVID-19 procedures, everybody keeps their masks on until they are seated.
“We all have a good time talking with our friends at the Legion, and we are adding more friends to the breakfasts,” Dorothy Vassa said. “The breakfasts are a great fundraising event for us.”
Vassa reported they had trouble keeping the doors open during the pandemic but added things are getting better.
“We are getting some of our events scheduled, and now we want to get some casino trips scheduled,” she added.
The marketing idea that seems to be helping is signage placed during the week of the breakfast to spread the news.
If there is someone interested in putting a sign on their property, the Legion will be looking at new locations. The sign on Front Street is popular, it was noted.
