Jerre L. Hebig, 86, of Northampton, died March 1, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Health Network-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of the late Betty L. (Shiflett) Hebig and the late Phyllis (Delabar) Hebig.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Lewis and Esther (Leiby) Hebig.

He was a 1952 graduate of Allentown High School.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was an Upper Saucon police officer until he retired in 1996. He worked for Lehigh Valley Dairy.

He was a member of Greenawalds United Church of Christ, Allentown.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Le-Hampton Lodge 35 and the American Legion Post 367, Fullerton.

He is survived by a son, Michael and his wife Shelly; two daughters, Anna DeRoach and her husband Michael and Linda Hebig-Summy and her husband Dan; a brother, Harry; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by three sisters, Ruth, Virginia and Sandy.
