Gloria T. Carl, 91, of Emmaus, died March 6, 2021, in her home. She was the wife of the late James M. Carl. Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd E. and Verna H. (Miller) Reese.

She supervised the cafe for Rodale, Inc. for nine years. Prior to that, she was a sewing machine operator for the former Clarence Mfg. for 19 years, only to return to work for her son at Pioneer Glass.

She was a member of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Congregational Church, Emmaus.

She was a member of the Woman’s Club of Emmaus, Emmaus Senior Citizens, where she served as treasurer and the Emmaus VFW.

She is survived by sons, James M. Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Summerfield, Fla., Neil C. and his wife, Joann, of Emmaus and Bruce L., of Emmaus; daughters, Patricia T. and her husband, Ralph Breinich, of Emmaus, Jeanette A. and her husband, Dennis Madaya, of Walnutport, Deborah J. Bloxham-Hamel, of The Villages, Fla., Cynthia L. Polster, of The Villages, Fla. and Kathleen M. Glattly, of Ventnor, N.J.; a sister, Jean Scheller, of Kempton; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. March 10 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. March 10 in the funeral home.
