George W. Koneski, 94, died Nov. 20, 2020, in Castroville, Texas. He was the husband of the late Miriam J. (Boyer) Koneski for 71 years. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Anthony and Antonia (Baszak) Koneski.

He was a United States Navy World War II veteran and a recipient of a presidential citation.

He was a longtime member of the Church of St. Ann, Emmaus.

He was a prominent homebuilder in Emmaus for over 40 years before retiring and a past president of the Lehigh Valley Homebuilders Association.

He was a loyal fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.

He is survived by brothers, Anthony and Frank; daughters, Georgene and her husband, Andrew Kocis, Regina and her husband, Edward Beretsky, Christine and her husband, Winston Erevelles; sons, George W. Jr. and his wife, Arline; Stephen, and his wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Daniel, Alison, Shana, Jason, Jonathan, Eric, Tara, Robin, Tyler, Ryan, Karina, Kyle, David, Claire and Michael; 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters, Cecelia, Mary, Helen and Stella; a daughter, Angela Toth and grandsons, Joseph Erevelles and Paul Beretsky.
