Eugene C. Knerr, 79, of Macungie, died March 2, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Dorothy (Smith) Knerr for 57 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Frederick C. and Grace M. (Moyer) Knerr.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy with a rank of 3rd Class Engineman during a peacetime era.

He was employed as an expediter at Mack Trucks, Inc. for 25 years, retiring in 1989.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Diana L. Sylvester (Thomas), of Cetronia; grandchildren, Freddy, Nicole, Aaron, Tommy; a great-granddaughter, Mia; siblings, Barry F. (Kathy), of Illinois, Kenneth R. (Roseann), of Allentown, Walter L. (Helen), of Harrisburg, Nancy Kahler-Jow (Keoni), of Upper Darby. He was predeceased by a brother, Frederick G.
